Abstract

Technological improvements with 64 multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) have greatly advanced its role for diagnostic imaging in patients with vascular disease. CT angiography has thus become a useful tool in evaluating patients with various diseases of the aorta and the great vessels such as aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm and carotid artery disease. © 2010 Springer-Verlag London Limited.
