Related work on reference modeling for collaborative networks

Several international research and development initiatives have led to development of models for organizations and organization interactions. These models and their approaches constitute a background for development of reference models for collaborative networks. A brief survey of work on modeling the enterprises, enterprise architectures, and early contributions to reference models of virtual enterprises is provided.
