L'électroluminescence

Abstract

We report on the basic principles of inorganic and organic electroluminescence. Then, the corresponding families of materials are introduced and discussed in term of performance and capacity. Colours patterning and addressing issues are subsequently discussed. Finally, the commercially available electroluminescent displays are described and the market trends in inorganic and organic electroluminescent display devices are compared and analysed.
