Abstract

A transform optimization based preprocessing algorithm is presented. The method integrates combination of transforms, color component weighting and CSF filtering. Experiment results showed that proposed algorithm outperforms JPEG2000 lossy and lossless algorithm in both objective and subjective quality in wide range of compression rate. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
