The Universities have an important role in producing the qualifed human resources. The universities must be implemented the human resource management included in improving the performance of lecturers. This study aimed to see how the effect of compensation and leadership in improving the performance of lecturers STIE Pasaman Simpang Empat. The results of this study indicate compensation and leadership of each partial positive and significant impact on the performance of lecturers. The implication of this research is that in order to improve the performance of lecturers can be done by increasing the compensation and leadership.
