Abstract

The research team offer us a preliminary set of reflections on their current research project which seeks to develop new ways of supporting teachers and pupils working more openly and collaboratively in the development of teaching and learning. Key amongst their suggestions is the importance of encouraging a shared language amongst both students and teachers that enables them to talk about teaching and learning. Their work comprises Project 2 of the ESRC Consulting Pupils About Teaching & Learning programme, details of which appear at the end of this special issue.
