Abstract

In this study, the relationship between leadership types and work performance is empirically tested. The purpose of the study is to examine the leadership types such as autocratic, democratic and humanist by investigating their ties with characteristics in the automotive industry. Also, the impact of mentioned leadership types on employee performance is studied. The universe of the study consists employees working in a company belonging to the automotive sector. The sample of research is selected based on the total number of people working in a firm. In total, 51 people have taken the research questionnaire, which is the methodology of this study. The survey was created based on the five-point Likert-type rating scale. As a result of the research, a moderate relationship is detected between leadership types and employee performance.
