Abstract

The salt marsh communities of three West Frisian islands were studied from 1937–1946, but as yet the results have only been published in summaries (Westhoff 1947, Beeftink 1965, Dijkema amp; Wolff 1983). Fully updated vegetation tables are presented now and discussed. The successional changes from 1946 onwards are briefly discussed.
