Abstract

This paper presents two new methods of elastic articulated objects modeling and motion estimation based on a new revolving conic surface. The deformation of human body surfaces can be represented by adjusting only one or two deformation parameters for each limb. Then, the 3D deformation and motion parameters are estimated by corresponding 2D image points and contours from a sequences of stereo images. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
