Abstract

Much remains to be learned about the physiologic actions of eicosanoids and of the mechanisms controlling their production. While preliminary results suggest that alteration of eicosanoid production may be beneficial in treating or preventing vascular disorders, the basic information currently available is insufficient to provide definitive plans for intervention.
