Abstract

A new guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid, 10p-O-methyl-1aH,5aH-guaia-6-en-4p-ol (1) along with two known compounds, 10-O-methyl alismoxide (2) and alismoxide (3) were isolated from a population of Bornean soft coral Xenia stellifera. The structure of this metabolite was elucidated based on spectroscopic data such as NMR and HRESIMS. These compounds were evaluated for their biological activity against adult T-cell leukemia cell line.
