Abstract

Reports on the analyses of prehistoric gold objects from Spain and Portugal. The silver and copper contribution to gold alloys is discussed, and patterns of composition are used to indicate period of manufacture, source of raw materials, intent of goldsmithing, and properties of gold artifacts.
