Abstract

This paper proposes a method to optimize a supply chain network for yacht service that maximizes values for service users / customers, and profits for service providers. The yacht industry includes many sectors such as yacht design, yacht engineering, yacht manufacture, marina service, yacht maintenance, finance/insurance, training and education for professional and non-professional sailors, chartering, leisure service, and technical clothing. In order to boost up yacht / marine leisure culture, we must consider yacht infrastructure, yacht research, and yacht service from a systematical point of view. This paper uses the C2C cycle to optimize a yacht service supply chain network inclusive of design, research, manufacture, and leisure service. © 2014 SERSC.
