Abstract

Nowadays, digitalization due to advancement in technology is developing rapidly. Even though security is enhanced for maintaining the personal documents, the robbery and unauthorized usage are being increased in current scenario. In this proposed system, a new generation security system which is based on face recognition-Iris Recognition is prototyped. In the meantime, high-quality image with many details has an important role in the recognition process. Face image and eye iris are used for authentication purpose. Initially, the face image of particular person is compared with the database image. If it is authorized the interrupt will be forwarded to iris recognition. Then, the comparison output result is sent to the control unit via serial communication. If the person is unauthorized, then the message is sent to the concern. Various control circuits are developed with ARM7 microcontroller. Similarly, iris recognition of the users is carried out by comparing it with the database images. If authorized, a one-time password (OTP) is sent to the authorized mobile number, else if unauthorized the image of the person is sent as MMS to the appropriate user. Finally, if all the three steps of verification are cleared, then the user can make use of the system (say an ATM).
