Abstract

In the constant search for low-cost solutions to road construction and maintenance problems, one area of new technology which has already shown major cost savings is the use of polymer geogrid reinforcement for roads, embankments and reinforced soil retaining walls. There are three distinct applications for the grid: to control rutting; to control reflection cracking; to control fatigue cracking. 2 refs.
