I shall review some of the best established empirical Sun-weather relationships, and suggest how these relationships identify certain parameters and phenomena that merit intensified observation and theoretical study. It is a matter of practical and theoretical importance to know whether there is indeed a significant Sun-weather interaction at short or long time scales. Some data suggest that short-term weather forecasting accuracy suffers at the same epochs that we find short-term responses to solar sector boundary passages and other Sun-weather effects. -Author
