Abstract

This chapter describes in detail the surgical steps involved in dorsal approach for a proximal row carpectomy. Details of dorsal sparing capsulotomy, posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) and anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) neurectomies, and removal of scaphoid, lunate, and triquetrum are discussed. Indications, preoperative markings, surgical steps, postoperative care, operative dictation, and suggested readings are included.
