Abstract

For many years, software companies have made many efforts to improve software development practices, using different techniques and models to achieve quality of the software they produce, which is highly demanded by clients. Software process improvement aims to analyze and define how the software development practices of an organization can be improved, starting from the evaluation of the process in use. The literature currently reports a set of key success factors to improve software processes to be used by organizations. The objective of this paper is to propose the first version of a catalog structure of human factors identified from a set of critical success factors affecting software process improvement in an organization.
