Abstract

Based on the research I have carried out over the years, in this paper, I will firstly present a synthesis on the recent evolution of governance processes in education in OECD countries; secondly, I will present some examples of the influence of transnational, national, municipal agencies and schools on the production of specific educational policies in Portugal. Finally, from the examples previously used, I will justify the need to take into account the transversality of the regulations and the interaction between the different levels of influence for an education policy analysis.
