This paper is based on the literature that shows that school segregation by socioeconomic level is a relevant problem in Argentina. Its main contribution is to explore the differences among subnational jurisdictions, at the primary and secondary school levels, delving into previous research whose data sources did not allow such an approach. Our goal is to contribute to the study of educational equity in the country by quantifying school segregation by socioeconomic level in each province and comparing the results between them. To do this, we developed estimates of the dissimilarity and square root indexes, using data from the 2017 and 2018 “Aprender” programs for secondary and primary education levels, respectively. The results suggest that there are significant interprovincial gaps in the segregation levels as well as differences in the configuration of the phenomenon, which reflect the disparate characteristics of the provincial educational systems and the socioeconomic context in which they are located
