Inversion of array lateral-logging based on LSSVM

Abstract

Based on introducing the working principle of the array sonde and the least squares support vector machine (LSSVM), the inversion of the array lateral-logging responses have been done by LSSVM in this paper. The kernel parameters of LSSVM are selected by 5 fold cross validation method, and the well inversion results has been obtained. By comparing the inversion results with that of an international well-known company, it is demonstrated that the inversion results based on LSSVM are more reasonable. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
