With the process of urbanization rapid progress and the increase of residents’ travel demand and motorization, the access design speed and the key geometric design parameters of the level and cross-sectional plane were recommended according to the typical traffic safety environment and traffic operation features on the urban fringe villages and low-grade road section of China. With the simulation of the geometric improvement on the urban fringe villages and low-grade road section access, the design method and the recommendation of geometric design parameters were verified to be rational and effective.
