An approach to higher-frequency ultrasound guided wave data acquisition and processing is examined which compensates for signal complexity arising from multi-mode dispersive propagation, through use of spatial Fourier transform-based mode isolation and dispersion compensation. Underlying principles are summarized and experimental results are presented supporting the viability of array-based higher frequency guided wave pulse-echo inspections.
