A Brief History of Prime

Abstract

Baird et al discuss a brief history of wargames. US military leaders realized they needed mechanisms that would look ahead 10, 15, 20, and 25 years. This mechanism would provide assurance that the US would remain a dominant power. Wargames were developed to provide insight and pave the way for development of technologies and strategies that would effectively shape the future and protect against the unseen.
