Abstract

▶ Tracheal collapse is an uncommon cause of respiratory distress and coughing in horses. ▶ Placement of an intraluminal nitinol stent is a practical and minimally invasive alternative to extraluminal surgical treatment of tracheal collapse. ▶ Complications after stent placement are mild and can be managed during endoscopy in standing horses.
