Abstract

Radiotherapy plays a vital role in the vast majority of tumors that arise from the pineal region. While most pineal tumors are quite rare, refinement of radiation techniques and doses over the past several decades, along with concomitant improvements in surgical techniques and chemotherapeutic regimens, have led to improvements in patient outcomes.​
