Abstract

This chapter considers the utilization of resources and how it can be measured and improved, since higher utilization rates are the most cost-efficient means of increasing efficiency in IT over the medium term without the need for major investments. The focus lies first and foremost on material assets: The facilities, equipment, hardware, and software used in IT.
