Abstract

The task of research the intelligent development of marshalling process automation systems from the standpoint of smooth mapping singularity theory is formulated. The types of system potentials and parameters, which determine their change, are systematized. The process of intellectualization is represented by several, qualitatively diverse stages. Mathematical apparatus of identifying dependencies of potentials from their specific attributes is described. The effect of catastrophe initiation is explained, which allows to increase the degree of a research objectivity and efficiency of intelligent technologies introduction into automation systems. It is demonstrated, that catastrophe theory models can be used for description of a series of a difficulty-formalized aspects of intellect initiation: insight, nonlinearity (including liminality) of thinking, symmetry breaking (in the choice of alternatives during decision making), hysteresis in scientific cognition, etc.
