Abstract

Foundations in Indonesia have been known as "Stichting" since the Dutch Indies era, but there are no strict rules regulating the formation, administration of functions and duties of the agencies contained in the foundation and what operational activities they can carry out. The establishment of a foundation in Indonesia, prior to the existence of the Foundation Law, was only based on the habits found in society and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
