Abstract

ABSTRAK Tingginya angka stunting di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang Provisnsi Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Salah satu Desa yang cukup tinggi adalah Desa Cenrana Kecamatan Panca Lautang. Survai awal yang dilakukan ditemukan kelompok Ibu cenderung kurang memeiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam upaya pencegahan stunting, ITKeS Muhammadiyah Sidrap merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta dibidang Kesehatan yang berperan dalam program pemerintah dalam pencegahan dan penanganan stunting. Tujuan Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan upaya peningkatan gizi anak dalam pencegahan stunting melalui kegiatan pemberian edukasi pengolahan makanan pendampinga ASI (MP-ASI). Metode edukasi dalam bentuk dialog interktif dan mendemostrasikan pembuatan makanan tambahan pendamping asi (MP-ASI) yang mudah diolah dan kaya akan gizi balita untuk mencegah stunting. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam pengolahan makanan tambahan pendamping ASI berbahan lokal. Setelah kegiatan ini dilakukan terdapat perubahan perilaku peserta dalam memilih dan mengolah makanan tambahan untuk anak balitanya untuk pencehagan stunting.   Kata Kunci: MP-ASI, Stunting;, Masyarakat;, Pangan Lokal  ABSTRACT The high stunting rate in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. One of the villages that is quite high is Cenrana Village, Panca Lautang District. The preliminary data found that the mother group tended to lack knowledge and skills in prevention stunting, ITKeS Muhammadiyah Sidrap is one of the private universities in the health sector that plays a role in government programs in stunting prevention and management. The purpose of implementing this community service is an effort to improve children's nutrition in preventing stunting through providing education on processing complementary foods for breastfeeding (MP-ASI). The educational method is in the form of interactive dialogue and demonstration of making complementary food for complementary feeding (MP-ASI) which is easy to process and rich in toddler nutrition to prevent stunting. This activity succeeded in increasing knowledge and ability in processing complementary foods made from local complementary foods. After this activity was carried out there was a change in the behavior of participants in choosing and processing additional food for their toddlers to prevent stunting. Keyword: MP-ASI, Stunting, Public, Local Food
