Summary: FLORA-sys is a PC—software designed for the data management and the interpretation of botanical composition of permanent pastures. Data can be encoded, printed (screen, printer or file), and ecological indexes are calculated. For these calculations, the software uses a data base describing the botanical, agronomical and ecological characteristics of about 1300 species. Floristic tables can be set and completed with calculated ecological indexes and survey data. These tables can be easily exported to other softwares in order to perform statistical analysis (e.g. Principal Component Analysis). © 1996, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
