Abstract

The aim of this work is to study the feasibility of using agent-based modelling and Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to study the activated sludge process. A model in MATLAB has been proposed, and experiments have been developed analyzing the behaviour of the model when some of its parameters are changed. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
