Abstract

Bucaramanga is cataloged as the fifth most important city in Colombia, its population, urban and industrial growth makes urgent the need to protect the environment and the quality of life. At the urban level, the health of the human being is affected and violated by air pollution, evidenced by increases in noise levels and pollution. Today air pollution is associated in some proportion with the concept of Noise implicit refers to auditory pollution, which is defined as the excess of sound (excessive annoying noise) that exists in a particular place that alters normal conditions of this. Noise has been considered an environmental problem especially in urban conglomerates, the large number of cars passing regularly, dense public transport systems, heavy cargo traffic with diesel engines without adequate silencers, and lack of maintenance for industrial activity specifically Its machinery and equipment are made up of multiple sources of sound emission. Altering the conditions of life and disturbing the tranquility of the community. All the aspects described affect the quality of life in the city of Bucaramanga, requiring the identification and zoning of the problem in order to establish control measures that promote healthy urban environments, which promote a better quality of life and enhance the dynamics of life. city. The proposal for modeling and noise mapping of the commercial sector of Bucaramanga is required, establishing the Cabecera sector as a study area, based on the application of current regulations in Colombia.
