Abstract

With a very broad application prospect, emotional speech recognition has aroused many researchers attentions. The key to the problem is how to extract the features which can express feelings exactly. In this paper, the extraction method based on speech syllable distribution is presented. In contrast with the traditional one the new method can reduce the statistical error without computing the speech pause, moreover, the features such as syllable time and mute time are introduced to aiding emotional speech recognition. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
