Abstract

Examines six problem areas in shallow water kinematics. Identifies research needs for: (1) long term climate description, (2) wave transformation and deterministic models, (3) wave/current interaction, (4) nonlinear directional theory, (5) splash zone kinematics, and (6) surf zone wave behaviour and sediment transport.
