Lesions around the eyelids can be described as pigmented, vascular, or a malformation. They may also be associated with infections or inflammatory disorders. The diagnosis of these lesions may require additional studies, but rarely is a biopsy necessary. These lesions may be congenital or acquired. Malignant lesions are discussed in Chap. 24. This chapter focuses on the diagnosis and management of benign lesions on the eyelids and surrounding tissues.
