Abstract

Cognitive radio is an emerging technology that is an advanced version of the radio network. The goal of cognitive radio is to efficiently use all empty spaces that are not fully utilized for communication. It is an intelligent radio that fits dynamically and changes its transmitter parameters according to the environment. In the proposed work, the quality of services has been optimized through detection threshold. We get closed-form optimum threshold expression for local equilibrium detection, probability of failure detection, and probability of false alarm.
