Abstract

Linseed which is used widely in phytotherapy is grown commonly in Turkey. The major potent components of Linseed are mucilage and alimentary fibers. It also contains essential omega-3 -6 fatty acids, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid essential fatty acids for health protection. In this review, the characteristics and usage areas of Linseed are covered.
