Abstract

A variety of conditions may mimic osteosarcoma. The differential -diagnosis includes benign and malignant tumors, infection and inflammatory processes arising from the musculoskeletal system. An accurate clinical history, imaging studies, and pathological evaluation are essential to establish the exact diagnosis. This chapter describes many of the conditions which may mimic the diagnosis of -osteosarcoma. For convenience, the conditions are divided into several categories. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
