Abstract

This paper presents a new power quality index using Ideal Analytic Hierarchy Process(Ideal AHP). This methodology has three states such as IDEAL, ACTUAL, and POSSIBLE states. Here, IDEAL state reflects that customer feel enough for its quality, and POSSIBLE state reflects that customer feel extremely challenging because of its quality, and ACTUAL state reflects the actual quality. This Ideal AHP can obtain absolute value of competitiveness of each case, and can provide an overall assessment of distribution performance. One of the biggest merit of the method is to calculate only one time for each case. In case of addition, an operator need a calculation for the case. This paper apply the method to power quality of distribution system, and obtain a unified power quality index. By applying it to a distribution system, usefulness of the method was verified.
