Abstract

This study presents preliminary findings of a longitudinal qualitative study concerning business incubators in Turkey, and their effectiveness in enhancing the success and sustainability of new software ventures. A field study was conducted to gain an in-depth understanding of incubation experiences and software start-up success. Results were combined with literature review findings to derive conclusions relating to software start-up success and the value-adding contribution of business incubators in Turkey. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
