Abstract

In recent years, the pressure in the management of university degrees is larger and larger with the growing number of college graduates. At the same time, the phenomenon that a large number of students can't graduate on time arises. But now there are no effective methods to solve these problems. In order to solve problems above effectively, we treat each student's graduation process as a process of state changes and analyses of data created during the process of degree management. Then by visually analyzing of the process of the degree management, we can get a comprehensive grasp of the whole procedure and find out methods for optimizing and controlling the entire process; by visually analyzing cases of students' failing to obtain degrees, we can find out the main reason why they can't graduate on time and meanwhile provide convincing suggestions on how to solve these problems; by visually analyzing data created during anomalistic procedures, we can identify the implicit defects and deficiencies in the process; by visually analyzing the failing rates of different types of students over the years, we succeed in investigating the causes of their failing to graduate. All the works we do above make it have a deep and comprehensive understanding of degree managements which provides theoretical supports for the decisions of the leadership. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2014.
