Abstract

Examines preventive stress management skills individuals may use for health protection and health enhancement in the workplace. This chapter categorizes stress responses into four domains: physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral stress responses. The remainder of the chapter then discusses stress management skills and coping strategies that map onto these four domains, considering the evidence for the efficacy and effectiveness of these various stress management strategies.
