Abstract

Kidney transplant is the best treatment for patients with chronic renal failure. Robotics has expanded the ability to complete complex procedures such as kidney transplantation in minimally invasive fashion. This new minimal invasive approach offers the opportunity to perform kidney transplantation. Base on our experience, we can state that robotic-assisted kidney transplantation is a safe and effective operation. By minimizing surgical trauma, surgical complications are reduced and patient and graft survival improved.
