Abstract

The neutron and photon absorbed dose distribution of the FRM II neutron beam was calculated using GEANT4 inside a Voxel phantom. As input of these calculations, the measured primary neutron spectrum at the patient treatment position and a simulated photon spectrum was used. It was demonstrated that any RBE-energy data can be used, to calculate 3-dimensional distributions of the biologically weighted dose from the corresponding absorbed doses. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
