Abstract

The advent of heavy-duty diesel engines paved the way for the development of industries. These engines must be responsive, fuel efficient and provide cleaner exhaust to be considered effective. The most promising way of testing the effectivity is what manufacturers call real-world testing by fleet evaluation. Caterpillar introduced 3406E for which failure of the engine is observed, through this effectivity can be determined.
