Acknowledging that the achievement of SDG4 to achieve inclusion and equity in education requires the empowerment of education to promote gender equality, the promotion of quality education, the improvement of teacher training and the promotion of lifelong learning, this article analyses, from a pedagogical point of view, the role that ICTs play in the achievement of SDG4. Throughout the article, the different SDG4 targets that are clearly related to ICT are presented in a systematic way, such as the digital divide, digital transformation, teacher training in digital skills, equity and inequality, or the incorporation of MOOCs or open resources as tools that favors the development of SDG4.
