The objective of this article is to contribute to education for sustainability in global change and ocean acidification. A literature review has been done and international reports on global change, characterization, threats to humanity and possible solutions have been considered. The need to work in education for sustainability in formal and non-formal contexts is justified. A systemic approach which must also involve science education and marine science, to promote the acquisition of competences in pre-service teacher training has been chosen. Finally, online educational resources on ocean acidification have been found and an analytical tool to evaluate an important educational project has been designed. This instrument has proved to be useful for the intended purpose and for using these resources in the future in teaching practice and in teacher training.
