Abstract

Based on the analysis of aggregated indicators of market conditions of global markets characterized the modern state and the transformation of the market environment, in territorial aspect, short-term and medium-term perspective. The authors identified the main factors of transformation of the global energy markets, and outlined the prospects of their development, including issues of geopolitics and global energy security. In this article supported the urgency of the problem of sustainability of global energy markets, including problems of legal regulation of world trade energy products. Also this article presents the possible solutions to these problems based on international cooperation and reveals an important role of Russia as the largest supplier of energy resources to global energy markets.
