Abstract

Dr Cohen is a vascular physician and epidemiologist involved in clinical work, designing, managing and analyzing clinical trials from Phase I to IV. He is the Chairman and member of many international steering committees for multicenter trials, and epidemiological and pharmaco-economic studies. Dr Cohen graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Melbourne, Australia (MBBS). He achieved his fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1990, and received an MSc in Epidemiology in 1991 from the University of London. His MSc thesis in 1991 was on the Metabolic Syndrome in South Asia. In 1998, he achieved MD with a thesis on Epidemiology of VTE and Thromboprophylaxis. He has written or co-authored over 300 publications since 1990, including 40 publications in The Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine.
